This is literally my number 1 cocktail right now! I'm a new lover of gin. I always thought it tasted like Christmas trees and it just wasn't for me. I'd just never had it mixed with the right things.

I had a version of this in a bar years ago at a friends 30th birthday party and it became one of my favorite drinks after a long day, hence the name. It's potent, make no mistake about that, but it's also tart and sweet and lovely.

I discovered this cocktail years ago for our Annual Christmas party. The original recipe is for a punch bowl and it's little too sweet.

I'm not really a bourbon drinker, but my handsome hubs is. So anytime I can find a cocktail we both enjoy, it's winner. This is light and refreshing but warming at the same time.

Make this on Sunday, enjoy it with friends and love it all week long! Many sangria recipes call for Brandy but here I use blackberry moonshine... I mean why not?
